  • Planning, Establishing, and Grazing Pollinator Habitat: Webinar Sessions 6, 7, and 8

    Welcome to Planning, Establishing, and Grazing Pollinator Habitat.

    This series is presented by Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever, in partnership with USDA-NRCS’s Working Lands for Wildlife.

    The course contents are visible without logging in. However, you will need to be logged in (if you are already registered) or register here on the Landscape Partnership Learning Network in order to:

    Planning, Establishing, and Grazing Pollinator Habitat will cover Sessions 6, 7, and 8 of the WLFW Pollinator Conservation Webinar Series:

    • Session 6: Planning & Establishing Pollinator Habitat. Topics covered include a step by step process for planning and establishing pollinator habitat, including site selection, options for restoration and Farm Bill programs planning process
    • Session 7: Do I Need a Pollinator Seed Mix and How to Build One. Topics covered include recognizing whether a seed mix is needed, various seed mix options through NRCS, and specific information needed to build a seed mix such as habitat design and species selection.
    • Session 8: Pollinators and Livestock Grazing. Topics covered include benefits of native grassland restoration, native grazing considerations for conservation planning, pasture conversion and establishment, and grazing strategies.

    This course will take approximately one hour and 45 minutes to complete, including the optional quiz.
